Invited to bat, Chirk’s total of 117 all out was never going to be enough to put a dent in Newtown’s victory hopes.
Opener Shaun Walker did best with 40 for the North Wales side, Nick Flack adding 28, while Tom Anderson claimed a superb 6-25 for the visitors.
Newtown responded with 121-4 off just 20.3, having been 52-4 before an unbroken fifth-wicket stand of 69 between Marco Malan (70 no) and Anderson signalled an away victory.
Luke Gardner picked up 3-45 for the hosts.
Having set such a good score of 231, title hopefuls Chirk seconds looked set for victory, but hosts Albrighton seconds passed their total with a wicket to spare.
The result leaves Chirk now 16 points behind leaders Acton Reynald, but 21 ahead of third-place Coton Hall.
Put into bat, the visitors set their formidable score off 38.1 overs, Rob Williams 79, Daniel Graham 38 and skipper Dale Randall 35, Esther Hurford 4-35 for the hosts.
Albrighton made it to 232-9 in the final over, Hardeep Kumar a commanding 163 which made all the difference.
Twelve-year-old (yes 12) Harry Lunt bowled superbly for Chirk seconds, taking 4-34, while Randall snapped up 3-42.
