Bangor City Stadium: transforming community football and beyond

Bangor City Stadium continues to build strong community links at a rapid rate.
As well as being confirmed as Cynghrair Pêl-Droed Ieuenctid Gwynedd – Gwynedd Junior Football League sponsors this week, BCS has also delivered major boosts for junior and adult football in the Bangor area.
BCS is excited to announce its partnership with CPD Penrhosgarnedd and continued support for CPD Merched Bangor.
This collaboration allows CPD Penrhosgarnedd to use BCS facilities alongside their home in Treborth.
Gethyn Owen of CPD Penrhosgarnedd celebrated the new opportunities for team expansion and youth development this partnership brings.
“This move will create a pathway for talented youth to progress into senior football and continue playing the game they love,” said Owen.

Menai Bridge Tigers FC also received a generous donation from BCS.
Tigers chairman Robyn Cooke expressed gratitude, highlighting the importance of this support following their recent promotion to Tier 3 for the first time in the club’s history.
“The new (BCS) board has shown a willingness to support grassroots football in Bangor and the surrounding community,” Cooke remarked.
Lee Dixon, BCS Board Director, emphasised: “We are passionate about using Bangor City Stadium to make a difference. Our goal is to deliver ‘best in class’ services, motivating, educating, and inspiring the community.
“Supporting local clubs will help remove participation barriers and develop future stars. This investment will provide life-changing opportunities and support our wider community.”
