Caernarfon Town have discovered their next opponents in Europe if they overcome the challenge of mighty Legia Warsaw.

If Town progress past the formidable Poles in the second qualifying round of the Uefa Conference League, they will play the winner of the tie between Brøndby IF of Denmark and Kosovo’s KF Llapi 1932 in the third QR.

In their first-ever European tie, Caernarfon defeated Crusaders of Northern Ireland 8-7 on penalties after the clubs drew 3-3 on aggregate over two legs.

If the Canaries are beaten by record 15-time Ekstraklasa champions Legia, they will exit European competition for this season.

The first leg between Legia and the Cofis will take place this Thursday (July 25) behind closed doors at the Stadion Wojska Polskiego/Polish Army Stadium.

The return game will be held at Nantporth Stadium, Bangor, on August 1.

JD Cymru Premier champions The New Saints are guaranteed at least two further ties in Europe regardless of their result against Ferencváros in the UEFA Champions League second qualifying round.

If Craig Harrison’s side are victorious against the Hungarian giants, they will face the winner of the tie between Andorra’s UE Santa Coloma and FC Midtjylland of Denmark in the third qualifying round.

Victory against Ferencváros would also guarantee group/league stage football in European competition for the first time.

If TNS lose their UEFA Champions League second qualifying round tie, they will drop to the UEFA Europa League third qualifying round where they will meet the loser of the tie between APOEL FC of Cyprus and Moldovan champions FC Petrocub.

Victory in this tie would see them progress to the UEFA Europa League play-off round, while defeat would see them drop to the UEFA Conference League play-off round.

TNS are away to Ferencváros tomorrow (Tuesday, July 23, 7 pm) and home against the Hungarians on Tuesday, July 30.
