Pwllheli Panthers made it six straight wins in DIVISION ONE last Wednesday, but had to fight hard to see off Walis Bryncoch 25-20.
It stood 10-10 at half time, with Walis putting up a great show, but the winter league top division champions decisively won the third quarter 12-6. Bryncoch took the last 4-3 to end on a high note.
Arfon Ladies were also pushed all the way by a spirited Fflamau Brynrefs, who were down to six players in the first quarter, yet were on terms at 14-14 come the midway stage.
Arfon eventually pulled away for a 34-24 victory, but massive credit to Brynrefs for their effort. Madi Sinclair Humphrys stood out for Fflamau.
Dolgellau got past Primos 40-35 in a high-scorer, Sara James in fine touch for the winners.
Bea Wilkinson was excellent for Holyhead in a 31-28 defeat to Dyffryn, whose Elin Barwick was a shining star.
Menai took the first quarter against Bethesda 10-2, but the Ogwen side fought back to win the second 7-5 and drew the third 6-6. Menai won the last 6-3 to seal a 27-18 success.
Steff Oliver-Smith was superb for Mavericks, as was Laura Davey for Pesda.
Rebals Refail and Pwllheli Hustlers still have 100% record in DIVISION TWO.
Rebals defeated Thundercats 26-17, while Hustlers outscored Bethesda Bach 29-7.
Walis Tomos Parry overcame Thunderkittens 35-19, Nat Caughtry a good performer for the losing side, Porthmadog triumphed 30-16 over Ffestiniog, Mel Roberts a big plus for the beaten team, while Genod Walis beat Walis Warriars 31-18, Erin Roberts with an impressive display for the Warriars.
