Jess Jones is the Queen of Goals!

Jess Jones pictured with the Betty Pickering Cup won by Llangefni Town on May 26, 2024

Jess Jones of Llangefni Town is the runaway 2023-24 North Wales Football Goalden Girl.

The 18-year-old hotshot finished the season on 52 goals – the highest total registered by a North Wales woman player in many a year..

The Gwalchmai Goal-Machine brought up the 50 with four in the Betty Pickering Cup semi-final victory over Amlwch Town.

She added another double in the 5-1 final win against Pwllheli on May 26.

It has been a phenomenal season for the teenager, who has hit four or more goals in a game on no less than seven occasions. Her 52 goals have come in just 22 appearances.

Jess follows some pretty illustrious names in being crowned the Goalden Girl. It is hoped she might get a chance to shine at a higher level next season.
