After being bowled out for just 104, leaders Mochdre produced a fantastic fightback to defeat the champions at Swan Road.
Invited to bat, Mochdre plummeted from 41-1 to 104 all out, Sean Kitchen top-scoring with 22, while for Saints, William Norman took 3-11 off eight, Gareth Goodson 3-30 and Robbie Prior scooping 2-6 from eight.
It looked good for the title-holders as they took to the middle, but Adam Campion made two crucial early breakthroughs and three wickets for Marcus Mangiameli had the visitors in all sorts of trouble at 26-5.
Things got no better for Asaph, the Mochdre attack blitzing them all out for 57, extras the top scorer with 19 – including 18 wides.
Mochdre’s stars with the ball were Mangiameli (3-11), Stewart Williams (3-12) and Campion picked up 3-14 off eight.
It may be very early in the season, but Mochdre do look capable of being a major force this season.
Robbie Marshall produced a true captain’s innings of 54 not out to guide Bangor from a grim position into a victory situation Ty Newydd.
Visitors Denbigh batted first and were dismissed for a modest 111 off 49 overs, Sam Lewis 26, Franco Kasner 3-20 off 10 for the hosts, Smit Parekh 2-8 from 10 and Nadeem Rehman 2-11.
In response, Bangor nosedived to 24-4 before Marshall took command.
The skipper put on 39 for the fifth wicket with Kasner (21), then Callum Andrews and Jamie Davies added vital runs with Marshall, whose unbeaten half-century saw the Citizens to 117-6 off 34.3.
Stuart Griffiths took 2-19 and Lewis 2-33 for the travellers.
Thomas Hughes struck a crucial unbeaten half-ton for a Northop side which continued their great start to the campaign with a win at Brymbo.
Inserted by the visitors, the Steelmen were bowled out for 132 off 48.3 overs, Mohamed Nilam Jayman 26 and Christopher Taylor 25, Romano Franco a superb 3-17 off 10 for the Flintshire side, Andy Poynton 2-12 from 10.
Hughes (52 no) and Elliot Colclough (32) put on 75 for the second wicket before Northop reached 133-5 off 44, Sam Aplin 2-16 from 10 for Brymbo.
Number seven bat Cai Pearson scored a vital 42 not out as Gwersyllt Park eked out a three-wicket success over Gresford.
The visitors won the toss and batted, losing all their wickets for 141, Chris Mullock 40 and Joe Benson 29, Jake James a magnificent 5-15 and Venumadhav Peram 2-33 for the hosts.
Park looked in dire straits in reply on 98-7, Iroshan De Silva 28, before Pearson and Peram put on an unbeaten eighth-wicket stand of 44 to win the match.
Simon Perry snapped up an excellent 5-28 off 10 for the away side.
Opener Dion Holden was the pivotal figure with 63 not out for the Bridge in a narrow win at The Oval.
Put into bat, Tudno were all out for 123 from 40, Sam Rimmington 36, Gerallt Roberts 3-19, Matthew Jones 2-19 and Ashley Wood 2-22 for the islanders.
While Holden was in control at one end in Menai’s reply, wickets fell regularly at the other.
The islanders slumped from 55-2 to 62-6 at one stage, but they eventually got home on 125-8 off 30 overs.
Jack Rimmington grabbed 4-37 off 10 and Tom Thornton 2-31 for Llandudno, who pushed their visitors hard.
