This match has gone on to make headlines for all the wrong reasons.
The game itself was emphatically won by Penrhyndeudraeth, Cai Henshaw (4), Tom Hughes (2), Deio Hughes and Gwion Davies sharing the goals.
Gwalchmai 4 CPD Talysarn Celts 1
Good win for Gwalchmai, Connor Owen, Kaine Bentley, Marc Evans and Darren Roberts with a goal each for the hosts, Jack Usher replying.
CPD Llanberis 0 Trearddur Bay 1
One win from the title and six games in which to get it – Trearddur Bay have one hand firmly clasped around the championship trophy.
Matt Reynolds scored the only goal of the game at Ffordd Padarn from an Asa Thomas assist on 71 minutes.
The win stretched Trearddur Bay’s unbeaten league record to 22 matches.
CPD Llannerchymedd 0 Menai Bridge Tigers 5
Menai ended their league campaign on a high with a five-goal victory which keeps them at the summit for now.
Callum Graves (2), Paul Rowlands, Sion Hogan and Kevin Roberts spread the goals around.
CPD Llanrug United 3 CPD Pentraeth 1
Jamie McDaid’s 50th goal of the season put Llanrug on their way to victory over Pentraeth.
Kevin Lloyd and Jonathan Sadler also registered or the home side, Dylan Jones replying from the penalty spot
CPD Mynydd Llandegai 1 Glantraeth 2
Alwyn Roberts gave Llandegai a second minute lead, but Glantraeth hit back to win with first half strikes from Luke Winter and Arwel Williams.
CPD Nefyn United 2 Cemaes Bay 0
A sixth league win on the bounce for Nefyn, Tomi Evans and Osian Jones with the all-important goals.
Division One
Caergybi 4 Llangoed & District 1
Louis Chapman was on the mark twice for Caergybi, Marcus Bell and Mike Edwards also making the scoresheet, while Laurence Mandel responded for the visitors.
Llanystumdwy 2 CPD Boded 1
Boded suffered their first-ever league defeat after Sion Parry clinched the spoils for Llanystumdwy with an 83rd minute penalty.
Tomos Williams handed Llan a half-time lead, but Jordan Taylor equalised from the spot on 54 minutes.
Llan’s Kyle Williams and Daniel Owen of Boded were shown red cards on 70 minutes.
NORTH EAST WALES LEAGUE
Premier Division
Castell Alun Colts 1 Greenfield 0
Nathan Davies notched the only goal of the game on 22 minutes to clinch the honours for Casty.
Connah’s Quay Town 2 Mynydd Isa 2
Andy Jones’ 89th minute equaliser salvaged a point for Mynydd Isa.
Lee Jones made it 1-0 to Town from a 31st minute spot-kick, Jack Aitken levelled on 45, but in first half stoppage time Freddie Watts put the hosts back in front.
Penyffordd Lions 2 Coedpoeth United 2
It looked good at half time for Coedpoeth as they led 2-0 thanks to goals from Adam Lloyd and Callum Roberts.
However, the Lions roared back in the second period to bag a point, Jack Pyke-Jones and Alister Randles (pen) on target.
Pyke-Jones saw red on 82 for the home side.
FC Queen’s Park 1 Caerwys 0
The Park continued their improved late-season form with a single-goal success over Caerwys, Sean Skimmings settling the issue with a 15th minute strike.
Ryan Davies missed a second half penalty for the visitors.
Championship Division
Acton 1 Rhydymwyn 1
Ryan Davies delivered Rhydymwyn a 21st minute lead they held up to half time, but a Sam Giles penalty on 63 made sure it ended all-square.
Aston Park Rangers 5 Brymbo 6
James Etherington’s decider 10 minutes into added time settled an 11-goal thriller in buoyant Brymbo’s favour.
Elliott Evans (2) and Adam Randles gave Rangers a 3-0 lead inside the first 12 minutes.
Brymbo were level by the break, Josh Bachner (2, 1 pen) and Rob Cooper making it three-apiece.
Bachner completed his hat-trick on 58, Johnny Crossley equalised and then made it 5-4 to Aston with 92 minutes played.
However, the drama was far from over as sub Bradley Reid brought it to 5-5 in the sixth added minute and then Hetherington delivered the final blow for the Steelmen.

The only goal was scored by the visitors on 36 minutes.
Holywell Town Dev 1 Ruthin Town Reserves 4
Luke Molmans netted twice inside the first 20 minutes for Ruthin before Luka Graham missed a penalty for the Wellmen.
Jack Baines-Hughes did pull one back for the hosts in added time at the end of the first period.
However, Shaun Davies and Gruffudd Hughes-Owen pocketed second-half goals for the victorious visitors.
Mold Alexandra Reserves 1 Connah’s Quay Nomads U21s 6
Jayden Tang, Bradley Barnes and Ben Hesketh all scored twice for the leaders in a six-goal away salvo, Ifan Jones the sole home hitman.
Porthmadog Reserves 3 Gresford Athletic Reserves 2
Elis Puw’s 95th minute penalty sealed a dramatic late victory for Port.
It was Puw’s second successful spot-kick of the match, Mabon Owen having earlier found the net for the Traeth men.
Goals from Rob Reynolds and James Reynolds ran Gresford close.

Jack Honey (pen), Paige Wilding, Luke Maddocks and Luke Armstrong all found the net once for comfortable winners Brickfield.
Hawarden Rangers Reserves 2 Flint Mountain Reserves 2
Lee King-Magee’s double on 65 and 75 minutes ensured Hawarden recovered from two-down to force a draw.
After a goalless first half, Taylor Edwards and a Sam Henry penalty had put Mountain in command, but honours finushed even.
Rhos Aelwyd Reserves 0 Nantlle Vale Reserves 2
Daniel Bell and Llion Griffiths supplied the goals which nudged Nantlle ever-nearer to the title.
Lewis Wilcox was red-carded for the home side.

Llyr Evans (2), Osian Jones, Luke Allaway, Tristan Harrison and Arwel Huws all joined in the goal-fest for the leaders at Cae’r Delyn.
Penmaenmawr Phoenix Development 7 Llanrug United Reserves 0
Seven-up for Phoenix, Allen Padua, Billy Sieben, Corey Lundstram (2), Morgan Roberts (2) and Benn Lundstram all on the scoresheet.
Trearddur Bay Development 4 Llanfairfechan Town Reserves 2

Seventeen-year-old Noel Owen was a first-half hat-trick hero for victorious Trearddur.
Jenson Rowlands also struck for the hosts, Dylan Laing with a pair for lanfair.

Both goals came in the first half, Thomas Zalot putting Pentraeth ahead on 11 minutes before Osian McGuinness levelled after 43.

Josh Robinson converted two penalties for NFA, but Gaerwen gained a point with goals from Rhodri Roberts and Callum Hughes (pen).
