Two second-half goals clinched the win which edged Holywell ever closer to a first Tier 2 league title in their history.
It was always going to be a tough test at Guilsfield, but the Wellmen created opportunities throughout, Danny Andrews shooting inches wide in the 17th minute.
Jamie Breese flashed an effort across the face of goal, while just before half time Jamie Hyne went close for the hosts.
Four minutes into the second half the deadlock was broken, Breese capitalising with a close range finish after keeper Robbie Williams spilled the ball. It was Breese’s 15th goal in 14 games since joining Town in January.
The striker threatened twice more before Holywell went 2-0 up on 73 minutes, Breese’s great cross headed home by Andrews.
Shaun Pearson denied Guilsfield a consolation with a late save from Iwan Matthews.
Adam Smith’s 93rd minute leveller rescued a point for Buckley.
Max Moore gave Town a sixth-minute lead and it stayed 1-0 up to the break.
Charlie Mann put Gresford back on terms on 56, then sub Harvey Ellis made it 2-1 Athletic after 79.
Josh Allen set up Smith for the stoppage time face-saver.
No miracle comeback this time from the masters of dramatic recoveries in the second half of the season.
Jamie Jones netted twice for Caersws on three and 28 minutes and with Craig Williams scoring after 12, the Bluebirds were three-up inside half-an-hour.
A Harvey Bennett pair on 71 and 77 brought the Seasiders right back into the contest, but there was to be no equaliser.
Title-hopefuls Flint were too good for relegated Llanidloes, CN top-scorer Elliott Reeves’ 31st league goal of the season giving the Silkmen a 10th minute lead.
Sol Frode and sub Michael Burke added further goals in the second half for Lee Fowler’s men.
Great way for Ruthin to end their league campaign – a convincing victory at fourth-place and recent League Cup North winners Mold.
Alex were reduced to 10 men after just three minutes when key defender Steve Watkins was shown a red card.
Ruthin capitalised by taking a three-goal lead into the half time, Sam Jones (penalty), Joel Giblin and Harry Martin on the mark.
