Major announcement to come from CPD Y Rhyl 1879 on Saturday morning – what could it be?

CPD Y Rhyl 1879 have revealed a “major announcement” will be made at 10.30 am on Saturday.

With the Lilywhites due to play Brickfield Rangers at Belle Vue in the afternoon in a crucial league game, whatever the news is, it will be known before the match.

While 1879 are eight points clear at the Tier 3 Ardal North West summit, they have lost back-to-back matches, including a stunning 6-1 defeat at second place Flint Mountain on Wednesday.

That result put Mountain eight points behind Gareth Thomas’ side, but with five games hand, making them surely the new title favourites.

In view of the disappointing last two performances, one can only imagine the club has acted fast on any decision to promise a major announcement before the next game three days later.

While speculation would be unfair, one would have to wonder in the current circumstances whether a change of management is in the air in a desperate bid to turn the tide.

However, there is no indication to date what the announcement will be.

The subject is the talk of such debate among Rhyl 1879’s ever-loyal fanbase on social media.
