Keeper Fin Wilson was a double hero as he inspired his Acton side to a semi-final victory via a penalty shoot-out.

Following a 2-2 draw at Rhosnesni High School, the tie went to spot kicks.

Wilson took one himself and scored to make it 9-8 and then saved the next one to secure Acton a meeting with Aston Park Rangers in the final.

Joe Jones gave Rhydymwyn an 18th minute lead. but Andrew Bithell levelled via a penalty before half time.

Rhyd edged back in front just before the hour, but Seb Kidd made it 2-2 two minutes from time to force penalties.

And it was here that 19-year-old Fin emerged the match-winner.

PREMIER DIVISION
Rhostyllen 4 Coedpoeth United 0

A first win in five league attempts for Rhostyllen gave them some daylight in second spot.

Dean Jones, Ben Duffy, captain Drew Wickens and a Tom Douglas penalty saw off the previously on-form Coedpoeth.

William Roberts also missed from the spot for the home side.

CHAMPIONSHIP DIVISION

Bellevue 1 Overton Recreational 8

Four-goal star Harry Massey boosted his total to 35 in all competitions as Overton rattled up eight at Court Road.

Mark Matthews, Oliver Nelson, Alex Williams and a Jamie Giles own goal made up the rest for the visitors, Gavin Hughes converting a penalty for Bellevue,

Johnstown 1 Aston Park Rangers 4

Adam Randles (2), Jonny Crossley’s 30th goal this term and captain Elliott Evans shared the goals for Rangers.

Crossley also missed a penalty, while Johnstown’s sole reply came via skipper Keneth Davies.

Rowan Birch was sent off for the hosts four minutes into added time for a second yellow.

Skippy 0 CPD Gronant 6

Kallum Pierce hit four for the visitors to make it 25 goals in 23 appearances this season.

Dylan Taylor and Cameron Berry added singles for Gronant, who lead the table on goal difference.

RESERVE DIVISION

Connah’s Quay Town Reserves 3 Lex Reserves 4

Great result for a Lex side which recovered from 3-1 down to win with three late goals.

Josh Clarke, Eric Thomas and Damon Bradley (penalty) put the hosts in command after Levi Howat handed the Law an early lead.

Entering the final 11 minutes of the 90, Quay led 3-1, but goals from Morgan Bagnall, sub Phillip Gibney and a 91st minute strike from fellow replacement Michael Parry won the day for the jubilant visitors.
