It is now a perfect 10 straight league wins for Holywell following tonight’s impressive 3-0 success over a resurgent Buckley.

The Wellmen returned to second spot in the Cymru North, just two points behind leaders Airbus UK Broughton with three games in hand.

Both sides had opportunities at the Achieve More Stadium tonight before the hosts took a 35th minute lead.

Danny Andrews picked the ball up, turned and fired a precision shot into the bottom corner to give Johnny Haseldin’s side the edge at half time.

In a competitive second half, both teams again had their attacking moments, Ryan Goldston in the Bucks goal saving well from Jake Cooke and Ryan McGilloway.

Then on 79 minutes arrived a crucial second for Holywell, and it came from a familiar source.

Ryan Edwards fed a great through ball to Jamie Breese, who fired decisively past the keeper to make it eight goals in as many games since joining the club in January.

Just a minute later the points were safe when Morgan Murray rounded off a powerful run before slamming in number three.

It finished all-square at Bastion Gardens, where a 79th minute equaliser from Macauley Taylor rescued a point for Prestatyn.

The prolific Danny Warren put Mold ahead in the 12th minute with his 28th goal of the season, Aidan Farren providing the assist.

Seeking revenge for a 3-0 defeat at Alyn Park in December, the hosts hit back when James Stead set up Taylor for the leveller.

Taylor showed some brilliant footwork in the box before applying a deadly finish.

Mold pressed hard for a winner which did not come, while both sides created a good quota of chances throughout the game, but 1-1 is how it ended.
