Who is February 2024’s Club of the Month?

Coedpoeth United – Club of the Month for February 2024. This is their first team squad

Grassroots North Wales’ Club of the Month for February 2024 fit the bill in every sense of the title.

Wrexham-area Coedpoeth United have emerged unbeaten throughout the month via both their first and reserve teams.

The reserves, managed by Carl Partington, have won four games in a row during February, reaching the Reserve Cup final on the 24th with a 3-0 victory over Caerwys in the semi.

Their squad includes evergreen veteran and captain Kevin Breeze, now 45, and a past star of Cefn Druids in the Welsh Premier League and Brymbo. Breeze was on target in the cup semi-final win last weekend.

During February, in the North East Wales Football League Reserve Division, fourth-place Coedy Reserves also defeated Corwen Reserves 6-1 and Connah’s Quay Town Reserves 5-0, both away, and saw off Lex Reserves 4-2 at home.

Coedpoeth United first team, with Wayne Jones in charge, have also experienced a fine Feb, beating Greenfield 1-0 to reach the semi-finals of the Mike Beech Memorial Trophy, claiming a 2-1 league success at Caerwys and drawing 1-1 at home to Castell Alun Colts.

Coedy are next-to-bottom in the Tier 4 North East Wales League Premier Division, but after a difficult start to the campaign have improved vastly of late.

Six wins and a draw during February for revitalised Coedpoeth United – well done lads!
