A seven-goal thriller at Central Park saw Denbigh edge a hard-fought win which lifts them into fifth spot in the Cymru North.
The hosts got off to a flyer when Ben Lockley headed in a Josh Lock corner with six minutes gone.
Tom Kemp thought he had levelled for Prestatyn after 10, but his header into the net was ruled out for offside.
Three minutes later Lock fed the pass which enabled Matthew Worrall to make it 2-0 to Dewi Llion’s men.
Prestatyn were far from out of it, though. Emmanuel Lawal halved the deficit on 14 minutes and it was two-apiece on 18 when Macauley Taylor found the net.
A fifth goal within the opening 25 minutes arrived when Dion Gibbins set up Worrall to make it 3-2 to Denbigh – and it stayed that way up to half time.
A big second period was on the cards and it was the Seasiders who struck tirst, Kemp with the cross and Luke Wiltshire with the headed finish.
Then it was Denbigh’s turn to celebrate as Worrall delivered and the ball was deftly ricocheted home off Owen Davies.
With 35 minutes still to play, it could have ended up any score, but surprisingly there were no further goals.
Three points for Denbigh and a fine effort from Prestatyn, who are getting stronger by the week.
A ninth straight win for Holywell – including 21 points out of 21 since the turn of 2024 – edged them back into second place in the Cymru North.
Johnny Haseldin’s men are now just two points behind leaders Airbus with three games in hand.
Tonight’s victory over always tricky Guilsfield saw the Wellmen strike first after just three minutes when Jake Cooke prolifted from a Danny Andrews assist.
Gareth Evans made it 2-0 on 26 and Jamie Breese maintained his fine form in front of goal by adding a third after 43.
When Evans bagged his second six minutes into the second half, the home crowd might have thought the calculators would be coming out, but that was the end of Town’s scoring for the evening.
Guils pocketed two consolation goals through Iwan Matthews on 81 and 90+5, but also had Thomas Williams red-carded after 82.
Liam Pickstock (2) and Thomas Bailey notched the goals that mattered as Saints chalked up a narrow victory over Llanrhaeadr, who led 2-0 at half time through a Garmon Evans penalty and Billy Clarke strike.
The hosts turned the tables after the break with Pickstock supplying a 76th minute decider.
