Premier Division

Connah’s Quay Town 3-4 Corwen

Owen Cordiner was on the mark for Corwen

The only remaining non-veteran men’s senior football team in North Wales with a 100 percent record this season continue to keep pulling victories out of the fire.

Premier Division leaders Corwen made it 10 straight wins at the weekend with a 4-3 triumph at Connah’s Quay Town.

Trailing 3-2 after the hour, Jamie Hulse’s side turned the tables with two goals in a four-minute spell to grab the victory and make it 30 points from a possible 30.

Alex Webster (2), Owen Cordiner and Thomas Mann shared the goals for the visitors, Owen Edwards, Freddie Watts and Pascal Gomez running Town close.

Caerwys 2-0 Rhostyllen

Connor Hughes (pen) and Adam Woosey pocketed the goals as Caerwys recorded a superb win over second-place Rhostyllen.

Ruabon Rovers 0-4 Castell Alun Colts

Casty delivered the goods in some style at the bottom team, Stuart McHarrie, Craig Worthington (2) and Louis Pritchard supplying the all-important goals.

Championship

Acton 4-5 Yr Wyddgrug

Gethin Thomas notched a hat-trick for a Wyddgrug side which pulled off arguably their best win so far since joining the league.

Rhys Jones and Jamie Lond – with an 86th minute decider – also struck for the visitors at third-place Acton, who replied through Oliver Scarsbrook, Luke Hughes, Joe Garner and Sam Giles.

Aston Park Rangers 1-1 Sychdyn

A penalty apiece in this drawn encounter, Jordan Walker edging Sychdyn ahead from the spot on 17 minutes before Elliott Evans levelled matters after 33.

Bellevue 0-5 Rhydymwyn

Paul Hughes, Nathan Williams, Marc Gunther and Aled Reece shared the away goals.

Brymbo 1-8 Gronant

Leaders Gronant struck eight on their travels, Matthew Lewis (2), Kallum Pierce (2), Gary Fazackerley, David Jones, Luke Elden and Gyorgy William Szabo combining on the scoresheet, Josh Bachner responding with a penalty for the Steelmen.

Holywell United 2-0 Overton Recreational

Great win for Holywell, Rhys Powell opening the scoring on 23 minutes and Shea Harding completing it after 85.

Reserve Division

Castell Alun Colts 0-2 Caerwys

Lewis Harrison and Ruari Wood found the target for the leaders, who scored a goal late in each half.

Corwen 1-6 Coedpoeth United

Benjamin Davies struck first for Corwen with a sixth-minute penalty, but Coedy turned the tables through Eryk Osinski (3), Thomas Potts, Jack Massey and Ross Hardy-Partington.

Mynydd Isa 3-0 Penyffordd Lions

Oliver Guy Howarth (2) and Jacob Rhys Williams were Mynydd Isa’s marksman in this victory.

Round 1

Lex XI 8-0 Johnstown

Zack Davies was a hat-trick star for Lex in this cup rout at Stansty.

Joshua Betteley, Kian Davies (2), Benjamin Williams and Alan Huxley chalked up the rest.

Round 2

Coedpoeth United 1-0 Greenfield

Matthew Halliwell’s ninth-minute goal was enough to secure progression for Coedpoeth in this all-Premier Division affair.

Penyffordd Lions 1-2 Mynydd Isa

New man Shaun Tinsley arrived in style with a double which earned his Mynydd Isa side Trophy success.

Nathan Lavender had earlier given Penyffordd a seventh-minute lead.
