Prestatyn Town appoint new manager

Prestatyn Town have appointed a new manager.
He is Matty Roberts, who has enjoyed a successful past 18 months in charge of St Asaph City.
Roberts’ management team at Saints, Mark Boulton, John Price and Martin Jones, all former Prestatyn Town stalwarts, will join the new boss at Bastion Gardens.
It promises to be an emotional return for Boulton, Price and Jones, who all shared in many past successes at Prestatyn.
Town’s current player-manager Karl Clair will step down by mutual consent.
There is much change in the air at Bastion Gardens with local businessman James Benbow having taken over ownership of the club from Jamie Welsh this week.
The next move will undoubtedly be an influx of new players at Prestatyn, with last year’s Cymru North Young Player of the Season Dan Atkins having left the Seasiders this week to join Colwyn Bay.
Rhuddlan Town reported today that their players Isaac Hall and Harvey Gordon have signed for Prestatyn.

New Town manager Matty Roberts enjoyed an impressive spell at St Asaph, whom he led to a Tier 4 treble of North Wales Coast East Premier Division title, NWCFA Intermediate Cup and Cookson Cup last season.
This season, he has guided Saints to third place in the Tier 3 Ardal North West and also a record victory for a North Wales club in the Welsh Cup of 18-0.
In all, the team won 80% of his 63 matches in charge.
