Top of the league and in seven heaven – that’s Radnor Valley.

The Ardal North East new boys are really starting to look the part as they take Tier 3 by storm in their debut campaign at this standard.

The afternoon at Tan Llan started with a minute’s applause in memory of Llanrhaeadr club legend Huw Williams following his recent passing.

The visiting Goats broke the deadlock in the fifth minute when Joey Price was picked out by a searching long delivery played by Ieuan Price before maintaining his composure to lift the ball over the advancing Dyfrig Jones.

The lead was doubled four minutes later when Thomas Edwards drove infield before curling a shot into the far corner of the net from 25 yards out.

The New Radnor men added a third goal when Taylor Wozencraft forced the ball over the line from a 13th minute corner.

Joey Price netted his second goal of the afternoon, successfully converting a 25th minute spot-kick after being hauled down in the penalty area.

The Goats extended their advantage six minutes later when Wozencraft headed a Price cross into the far corner of the net.

And a sixth soon followed when Edwards was on hand to nod home from Wozencraft’s cross pulled back from the byline.

Radnor Valley added one further goal to their tally, before referee Gwilym Lewis sounded the final whistle, when Ieuan Price netted from close range after the Llanrhaeadr defence failed to clear a 91st minute corner.

Penrhyncoch 5 Llansantffraid Village 0

Five-goal Penrhyn stayed on Radnor Valley’s tails with a demolition job on Llansantffraid.

David Evans, Dion Phillips and Daniel Owen all netted in the first half for the Roosters.

In the second half, Niall Coleridge and Jac Horwood also struck for the second-place hosts, who are targeting a quick return to the Cymru North.

CPD Rhos Aelwyd 3 Bow Street 1

Quite a surprise at Ponciau Park as Rhos claimed their first league win since August – six matches ago – at the expense of fourth-place Bow Street, who had previously lost just one ANE fixture all season.

All the goals in this early kick-off encounter came in the first half.

Scott Reeves struck first for the Aelwyd on 21 minutes and Aled Parry soon notched another after 26.

Rhydian Davies responded for Bow with 43 gone, but before the break Evan Woodall put the hosts 3-1 up.

The result sent Rhos hurtling out of the bottom three up to eighth position.

Welshpool Town 1 Penycae 3

After failing to win in their first nine matches, Penycae have now recorded three victories in a row.

The latest came versus bottom side Welshpool at Maesydre, although it was the hosts who drew first blood through Sam Cadwallader.

Penycae turned the contest on its head with two goals in first half added time through Gary Evans and Zac Davies.

Evans made it 3-1 with 49 on the clock and that was the end of the scoring.
