Rhydymwyn Vets 6 Penmaenmawr Phoenix Vets 0
Karl Bacon notched a hat-trick as Rhydymwyn rattled up a six-goal victory over Phoenix in the NEWFA Veterans Cup
Bacon struck twice within the first four minutes at the Mornflake Mighty Oats Ground, Daniel Jones and former Connah’s Quay Nomads star Jon Kenworthy with the assists.
Kenworthy was the supplier again as Andy Booker made it 3-0 on 13 minutes.
Booker turned provider in the 32nd minute for Stephen Hughes to find the net, ensuring Rhyd had a comfortable four-goal lead at half time.

Eight minutes into the second half, another prolific marksman, substitute Anthony Wearden, made it five, Hughes with the assist.
There was still time for Bacon to complete his treble, bringing up the half-dozen in the 84th minute with another sub, Gary McConnell setting him up.
Hawarden Rangers Vets 8 Mochdre Vets 1
Mighty Rangers maintained their unbeaten start to the season with an eight-goal working over of Mochdre.
Hawarden are undefeated in six so far and have the potential to keep that going for some time to come.
Having beaten Brickfield Rangers 10-1 in the previous round, the hosts were hungry for another goals fest.
They were 4-0 up by half time, the prolific Alan Dawson netting twice, while also on the scoresheet was the great Jamie Reed, the former York City Wrexham, Rhyl and Bangor City (among many other clubs) striker.
Dawson added two more in the second half, making it 17 goals in just five games this season, while Reed bagged once more for his double.
Two of Hawarden’s other goals were down as an N/A, while Jason Owen provided a consolation for Mochdre.
