Gwalchmai 4 CPD Aberffraw 2

Kaine Bentley was a hat-trick star for a Gwalchmai side which now holds a four-point lead at the summit following Saturday’s win over Aberffraw.

After back-to-back away draws, Craig Evans’ side needed a victory – and thanks largely to the deadly finishing of Bentley, now on 21 goals this season, they got it.

Determined Berffro arrived at Maes Meurig eager to spoil the party.

However, Gwalch struck first in the 23rd minute when Bentley applied a calm finish .

It did not take too long for the home number 9 to slot away his second.

Aberffraw rallied, pushing the hosts onto the back foot and finding themselves a goal on 28 minutes through Mason Finn via a corner.

Gwalch became sloppy, allowing Ywain McQuire-Jones to grab the equaliser before half time.

The hosts had been pegged back and needed a more consistent second half to turn the tables.

They found their feet better with Gwion Thomas heading in at the back post on 47 minutes to make it 3-2.

The black and whites looked more in their comfort zone after regaining the lead and continued to play good football which paved the way for talisman Bentley to complete his hat-trick through an impressive counter in which Connor Owen dazzled his way past two players to set up his strike partner, who kept composure to beat the Berffro keeper for his treble.

Trearddur Bay 3 CPD Nefyn United 0

Goals from Matt Reynolds and Joe Donovan put Trearddur in command before a penalty just before half time from Asa Thomas – his 25th goal of the season – saw the hosts in total control.

No goals in the second half, but the Beach Boys had done more than enough to make it eight league wins in the same amount of starts.

They also stopped second-place Nefyn keeping the pressure on leaders Gwalchmai by handing the Penwaig just their second league defeat of the campaign.

Amlwch Town 0 CPD Mynydd Llandegai 6

Six of the best were dished out by mid-table Mynydd, the result leaving Amlwch still bottom and without a win all season.

Away goals came from man of the match David Hayes (2), Iestyn Marlow, Aron Thomas, Kieron Bullock and Wyn Morris.

Glantraeth 5 CPD Penrhyndeudraeth 0

No stopping Glantraeth in this one after they eventually made the breakthrough on 40 minutes.

Dylan Williams (penalty), Steven Jones, Connor Gordon, Andy Clarke and Darren Lewthwaite notched a goal apiece.

Llanrug United 2 CPD Llanberis 3

The Darans battled back from two-down to edge the win in a hard-fought local derby at Eithin Duon.

After a goalless first half, a Kurt Hellfeld own goal handed Llanrug an ideal start to the second period.

Jonathan Sadler added a second on 55 and United looked to be heading for victory, but Jonny Cyster hit back for the visitors after 63, Ifan Mansoor levelled almost instantly and Peter Mansoor delivered the 76th minute decider.

CPD Pentraeth 2 Talysarn Celts 1

After five straight losses Pentraeth must have been delighted to overcome Talysarn at Bryniau.

Tirion Roberts nudged Celts ahead on 31 minutes to give the travellers an interval lead, but three minutes after the restart, Kian Abbott levelled the scores.

Dylan Jones made it 2-1 on 52 and that was how it finished, Pentraeth lifting themselves out of the bottom two with a welcome three points.

Division One

Bethesda Rovers 2 CPD Mountain Rangers 3

A third straight league win for Mountain Rangers was achieved thanks to a Zac Williams own goal and Stuart Cooke penalty before half time, then a Llion Roberts 56th minute decider.

Jordan Pritchard’s double on 61 and 80 gave Pesda hope, but it was not to be for them.

Elis Hughes was red-carded for Rangers in added time, but that didn’t ruin their day.

Blaenau Ffestiniog Amateurs 1 CPD Cefni 2
Macauley Lewis and Andy Williams bagged the goals which clinched a great result on the road for Cefni.
Owain Owen-Jones’ reply was not enough to save the Quarrymen from defeat.

Caergybi 2 CPD Gaerwen 1

The recently returned Mike Edwards’ 87th minute net-finder sealed victory for Caergybi.

Louis Chapman had earlier given the hosts a seventh minute lead before a Nathan Moore spot-kick on 80 gave Gaerwen hopes of wresting a point.

Llangoed and District 1 CPD Boded 3

Second-placed Boded stretched their unbeaten league streak to eight matches.

Shaun Jenkins (2) and Cian Owen put the visitors three-up inside the first half-hour.

Llion Roberts soon hit back for Llangoed, but the final hour of the game produced no goals.
