Denbigh tuned up for tonight’s (Tuesday, November 21) NEWFA Cup tie versus Airbus with a 13-goal demolition of Bellevue in a Betty Pickering Group C clash on Sunday.
The NEWFA Challenge Cup quarter-final tie will take place at Central Park this evening, kick-off at 7.30 pm.
Denbigh reached this stage with a 9-0 win over Bellevue in October and now take on Adran North opposition in Airbus for a semi-final berth.
Sunday’s tussle at Central Park saw Town in a ruthless goal-scoring mood against outplayed Bellevue.
It took nine minutes for the first goal as Beth Kell tapped home from a nice lay-off by Charlotte Cooper.

Two minutes later a handball in the box led to a Town penalty and Ceri Purvis stepped up, but she was superbly denied by Tiarna Bithell.
With 28 minutes on the clock, the floodgates opened.
Purvis pounced on a mistake at the back, racing through to score at the near post before converting a penalty less than two minutes later following another handball.
Sixty seconds later Purvis had a quickfire hat-trick when curling an effort into the top corner from the edge of the box.
Half-Time: Denbigh Town 4-0 Bellevue
Town had their fifth on 58, Purvis squaring for Kell to tap home with ease. Soon after, Purvis raced on to a ball down the middle before rounding the goalkeeper to add number six.
Things went from bad to worse for the visitors when Emma Jones was shown a red card for violent conduct.

Within a minute of the card, Kell completed her treble with a neat finish. Megan Edwards chipped in with an assist on 64 minutes when she set up Lucy Morris to turn home, before Purvis added another two minutes later – her fifth – making it 9-0.
The goal of the game fell in the 70th minute when Alaw Jones played the ball to Kell outside the box on the left, before she lashed into the top corner from distance.
Kell grabbed yet another on 77 minutes for her fifth and final strike before substitute Sophie Bancroft netted the first of a brace.
Bancroft rounded off Bellevue’s misery when a third penalty was awarded for handball, and she stepped up to convert comfortably.
