North Wales Coast Development League: Wins for Trearddur Bay and Nefyn

NWCFA DEVELOPMENT LEAGUE WEST

Trearddur Bay Development 4 CPD Gaerwen Development 0
Having won 12-0 at Gaerwen at the start of the season, the return match at Lon Isallt was somewhat closer and much credit for that has to go to the improved visitors.
Bay started fast and were in control, taking the game to their fellow Anglesey opponents.
Following some nice passing and possession, the ball broke to Matty Jones, who played a cross-field pass for Jack Cowhig. After controlling the ball, Cowhig slotted into the top corner.
From the kick off there was more of the same, keeping possession as Lennon Owen carried the ball through 3 or 4 defenders to lay it off for Thomas Lennon to put away Trearddur’s second goal..
Just before half time, James Leatherbarrow picked up a loose ball and fired into the top-left corner for 3-0.
Half time brought two changes and a switch in formation for the hosts to try something new, having now secured a comfortable lead.
However, the game turned scrappy, but the Beach Boys forced a corner that saw a flick on from Mike Jones which found Jake Davies, who headed home in the 81st minute.
Trearddur have a five-point lead at the summit with five wins in six on their log.
CPD Pentraeth Development 1 CPD Nefyn United – tim datblygu 4
Another good win for Nefyn, who ended Trearddur Bay’s 100 percent record the previous week.
The Penwaig got off to a flyer, leading 3-0 before the 20-minute mark, Jacob Walker finding the net before Ifan Gwilym Jones added a quick double.
Pentraeth battled back and cut the arrears to two goals before half time when Harry Sutton opened the home account.
Tristan Harrison made the points safe for Nefyn with a fourth away goal on 75 minutes.
