Ffion Owen’s wonder goal was the highlight of a clinical performance which saw Llandudno through to the next round of the Welsh Cup.
Midfielder Owen’s first-half missile lit up this all-Genero Adran North tie at Ffordd Derwen, Rhyl.
The deadlock was broken on nine minutes when Erin Doran headed the ball down from a Stacey Tradewell corner for Stevie Donougher to tap in the opener.
Then in the 27th minute came Ffion Owen’s magic moment. Llandudno had a shot saved by keeper Katie Spruce who cleared the ball out straight away only to see it fly back past her into the net via an Owen half-volley screamer from 40 yards.
In the 39th minute it was 3-0. Becky Jarvis-Evans sent the ball down the left wing to Donougher, who one-on-one with the keeper slotted into the bottom-right corner to make it 17 goals in just six matches, also keeping her record of scoring in every game so far this term.
Half-time: NFA 0 Llandudno 3
Nine minutes into the second half, Sammy Jarvis-Evans sent the ball over the top of the midfield to find Maddie Williams who fed Tradewell, and she took on a few players and found the bottom corner.
The fifth and final away goal on 62 minutes saw Kelsey Davies cross into the 18-yard box for Ffion Owen to notch her second after a scramble for possession,
Ffion Owen was named Llandudno’s woman of the match.
Fflur Williams was a hat-trick star for a Felinheli side who comfortably saw off a Bangor outfit which played the last half-hour with 10 players.
Williams struck on three and 22 minutes before Katie Midwinter produced a classy finish to make it 3-0 on 38.
Ella Jones gave Bangor some hope by replying just before the break.
In the 58th minute, Elin Jones of the home side was dismissed for a second yellow and with that went the blues’ victory aspirations.
Williams completed a treble on 66 before Catrin Evans bagged a double, one a penalty, to end the scoring at Nantporth Stadium.
Considering Tier 3 Pwllheli had not played in three weeks and they were taking on top-flight opposition, it is perhaps not a surprise the winning margin was so wide.
Ava Suckley scored six for the visitors, Carra Jones (2), Rosie Hughes, Mari Gibbard, Libby Mackenzie, Lili Jones and Lily Whitefoot the rest.
Ella Harley, Chantelle Teare and Beth Lewis (penalty) shared the Saints goals which ensured Nomads said goodbye to the Welsh Cup for another season.
