LOCK STOCK ARDAL NORTH WEST

Hawarden Rangers 2 Bethesda Athletic 2

Despite leading 2-0 at half time Hawarden were unable to pick up their first win of the season and remain bottom of the North West table.

In what was a game of two halves at Gladstone Playing Fields, Rangers controlled the first, two goals from James Ratcliffe on 28 and 37 minutes putting them in command.

It was a different story in the second half, new signing Kian Hughes striking at the double on 64 and 80 minutes for Bethesda, Joe Todd and Kane Roberts with the assists.

Pesda manager Mark Hughes was shown a red card at the end of the first half, but the day turned out better for his side than he may have feared at the tome.

Although they still lead the table, Llangefni lost for the first time in the league this season as newcomers Llannefydd took all three points at Cae Bob Parry.

Morgan Jones put the visitors in front on 12 minutes from a Lewys Turner assist, Dan Thomas equalised after 27, but on the half-hour Tomos Clwyd Edwards put Gwyndaf Pritchard’s men back in the lead.

Midway through the second half, Cefni won a penalty and Marc Evans converted to set up an interesting final quarter.

The deciding goal came a minute into added time, Ed Jones knocking in the winner.

Llay Welfare 1 Saltney Town 0

Sunday’s tussle at The Ring saw Llay stretch their unbeaten league run to five matches and move into second spot with a narrow win over Saltney.

The Bordermen put a lot into the game and could perhaps consider themselves unlucky not to earn a point.

Jared Taylor produced the winning goal for the hosts on 26 minutes.

Saltney were reduced to 10 men when Riley Hayden was shown a second yellow card on 68 minutes.

LOCK STOCK ARDAL NORTH EAST

Dolgellau AA 1 Llanfair United 2

Kyle Capner’s 90th minute strike won this one for Llanfair.

Karl Seliaerts broke the deadlock in the visitors’ favour after just eight minutes, but Gerwyn Williams levelled on 22 and it stayed one-apiece before that late drama.

Llanrhaeadr-ym-Mochnant 1 Llansantffraid Village 6

Josh Lenc was a hat-trick hero for exciting league new boys Llansantffraid.

Jack Harris, Liam Pickstock and Khyam Wyton added the rest for the rampant visitors, James Burgess with a consolation for the hosts.
