NWCFA DEVELOPMENT LEAGUE WEST

CPD Gaerwen Development 0 Trearddur Bay Development 12

Matt Reynolds was a six-goal star – a hat-trick in each half – as Trearddur Bay’s Development team launched their campaign with a big win.

A very tough pre-season schedule for the Trearddur players obviously reaped the benefits.

The visitors produced some outstanding football during a first half that saw them have a good 80% of the ball. They showed some real composure and built up attacks from the back on a regular basis.

It was 5-0 at half time, Reynolds getting a first half treble with Bryn Roberts and Noel Owen making up the tally.

The second half was more of the same, the Beach Boys keeping the ball for long periods and really working the Gaerwen defence.

Reynolds added three more, Luke Jones netted once and Sion Thomas plundered a hat-trick off the bench.

Dave Webb provided four assists and Reynolds produced three.

CPD Llanberis Development 1 CPD Pentraeth Development 0

Jonathan Cyster’s 76th minute penalty was sufficient to collect the points for Llanberis over a Pentraeth outfit which performed very well.

Kevin Lloyd put Llanrug on their way to victory with two goals inside the first 22 minutes.

Morgan Jones put Bontnewydd back in the contest with a 34th minute strike which made it 2-1 at the interval.

After the break goals from Tomos Owen, Robin Thomas and James Bell made the points safe for the hosts.
