North Wales Coast East League – great wins for Abergele, Bow, Junction and Wanderers

NORTH WALES COAST EAST LEAGUE
Premier Division
Penmaenmawr Phoenix 1 Abergele 2
Jack Hoult’s double provided Abergele with the inspiration they needed to secure a first win of the season in the North Wales Coast East Premier Division.
An away trip to Cae Sling against fine opposition in Penmaenmawr awaited Gele on Saturday, a good response to poor form necessary to kickstart their campaign.
An incredible start to the game saw Fin Ellam bag his first assist in new colours. Ellam slotted through a pass to star man Hoult who bagged his first goal of the season just 10 seconds in.
Hoult got himself on the scoresheet again on 19 minutes, finishing well from a Connah Atkinson whipped cross.
Penmaenmawr snatched a goal back from a Jamie Jones corner on the stroke of half time through Alfie Caldecott.
The second half saw many chances from both sides as well as a red card for Abergele centre-half Ryan Pamment, but stalemate ensued for the remainder of the game.
Llandyrnog United 2 Mochdre Sports 2

A late equaliser from Josh Grimshaw salvaged a point on the road for Mochdre Sports.
A header from Fin Jones via a Grimshaw delivery broke the deadlock on 30 minutes, sending the visitors into the break one-up.
Goals after 58 and 66 minutes, from Joel Rowlands and Sean James respectively, turned things around for Llandyrnog.
Five minutes from time, however, Grimshaw’s cross-shot looped over the keeper into the far corner for 2-2.
CPD Llansannan 2 Llandudno Junction 4

New Llansannan signing Luke Appleby scored twice on debut, but unfortunately for the home team Junction substitute Dean Seager did exactly the same on returning to the club and his double proved vital in the Railwaymen’s victory.
Appleby, who recently left Llannefydd, put the hosts in front from the penalty spot on 26 minutes, but Dan Roberts levelled after 31 to make it 1-1 at the interval.
Seager, a Llandudno Albion player last season, took the field on 50 minutes, but it was Llansannan who struck next through Appleby after 61.
The match situation changed dramatically when Seager netted twice within a minute (81 and 82) to put Junction ahead.
And James Kane clinched a fourth away win on the bounce for Colin Birtles’ side four minutes over the 90 when he made it 4-2.
Division One
CPD Y Glannau 0 Bow FC 5

Division One pace-setters Bow made it four straight wins and 22 goals scored as they turned on the second-half power at Y Glannau.
The first half ended goalless as the Middleman brothers at the back for Bow dealt well with the threat of Glannau’s prolific marksman Harrison Bellis.
Bow came out the stronger team for the second half and went close on a few occasions before on the hour a great pass by Joe Carey set Rob Parry free and he lashed into the top corner.
Five minutes later, Aaron Boyle released Dean Hughes and he chipped the keeper from just outside the box to make it 2-0.

In no time it was three. Keeper Richard Hillier-Evans sent a long ball upfield and Kyle Robb tapped it past the oncoming custodian Brad Wright to find an empty net.
Loui O’Carroll was next to impress for the Prestatyn-based side when he scored with a magnificent 35-yard free kick.
Boyle hit the post before Dean Hughes put away his second close to the end.
Prestatyn Wanderers 5 CPD Henllan 1
Callum Foster was the headline-maker as he scored four times in Prestatyn Wanderers’ first win.
Player-manager Steven Taylor got the scoreboard moving on 20 minutes, netting following a Dale Lewis assist.
Harry Payne equalised after 35, but just before the interval Foster made it 2-1.
The second half was the Foster show as he found the net on 56, 69 and 82 minutes, Tom Fleming with two assists and keeper Alistair Macaulay providing the other.
