Gary Bolton recently called time on a goal-packed career in North Wales football.

The 38-year-old from Ynys Môn spent the last 13 years of his playing days with CPD Aberffraw, having previously represented a number of clubs including Bodedern, where he won the Welsh Alliance League title in 2004/05.

Bolton clocked up a total of 304 games for Berffro, whilst scoring no fewer than 205 times for the club.

In all, he has notched more than 300 career goals, his other clubs including Trearddur Bay in Sunday League, Bodedern, Holyhead Hotspur, Cemaes Bay and Gaerwen.

Grassroots North Wales asked Gary to pick out some of his career highlights and he had no problem whatsoever coming up with a rapid 15.

13 Scoring twice on my debut for Berffro in a 4-0 win at Pentraeth

14 Scoring with two headers – which I didn’t score many – away at Menai Bridge in a cup semi-final which finished 4-4 and we won on penalties in 2016
