JD CYMRU NORTH

Buckley Town 1 (Driscoll 75)
Airbus UK Broughton 3 (Eyre 45+5, Peers 90+3, Cooke 90+6)

Two added-time goals secured a deserved victory for Airbus at The Globe.

Both Jake Eyre and Jaiden Cooke hit the bar for the visitors in the early stages.

Keighan Jones made sure it stayed goalless with a great stop to deny Buckley an opener.

Five minutes into overtime at the end of the half, Craig Lindfield fired the ball across the six-yard box for Eyre to tap-in.

Town equalised in the 75th minute through Liam Driscoll.

Airbus’ George Peers forced a fine save from Ryan Goldston, then rattled the post and entering injury time it looked like a draw would be the outcome.

However, in the 93rd minute Peers finally got his just reward with a fantastic goal from range.

And the points were sealed when Eyre pressured keeper Goldston and Jaiden Cooke applied the finish from 40 yards.

Denbigh Town 4 (Pritchard 22, Brown 24 & 32 pen, Fleming 49)
Caersws 1 (Hesden 13)

Three goals in eight first-half minutes turned this game the way of Denbigh at the expense of a Caersws outfit which finished up with nine men.

The visitors must have been encouraged when in the 13th minute, Rhys Hesden latched onto a long ball forward and finished well.

In the 22nd minute, Craig Pritchard, on his 50th club appearance, made it 1-1.

Nathan Brown added a second for the hosts with a composed finish before on the half-hour, Town were awarded a penalty for a foul by Bluebirds keeper Jack Perry, who was red-carded.

Brown’s kick hit both posts before going in to make it 3-1.

Five minutes into the second half Paul Fleming netted clinically for Denbigh’s fourth and soon after Caersws defender Calum Bennett was sent off for dissent.

Town had further chances in the final half-hour, but will be more than happy with a 4-1 scoreline from their first home game of the season.

Llandudno 2 (Bennett 52, Holland 62)
Bangor 1876 4 (Cox 33, Whelan 43, McGonigle 66 pen & 79)

Two Corrig McGonigle goals clinched victory for a Bangor side which had been pegged back to 2-2 after going two up.

Dan Cox’s firm header from a corner gave the visitors a 33rd minute lead and Craig Whelan made it two before the interval with a calm finish after breaking from midfield.

Llandudno’s fighting spirit served them well at the start of the second half, goals from Harvey Bennett and Danny Holland, via a long range shot, putting them back on terms just after the hour.

Game on! Who would strike next? The answer did not take long in arriving, McGonigle converting a 66th minute penalty.

And McGonigle made it five goals in two league matches with a glancing header following some fine wing play from Sam Jones on 79 minutes.

Porthmadog 4 (C Jones 29, Brookwell 51, T Williams 73 & 76)
Chirk AAA 1 (McLaughlin 66)

The writing was always on the wall for Chirk after goalkeeper Ollie Farebrother was red-carded for handling outside the box two minutes into the second half.

The Colliers were 1-0 down at the time and despite fighting hard till the end, they eventually lost out 4-1.

Both sides went close before the deadlock was broken on 29 minutes, Cai Jones forcing the ball over the line after Chirk’s best efforts to clear the danger.

That Farebrother incident early in the second half left Chirk totally up against it, and things got worse when Danny Brookwell made it 2-0 with a great finish from the tight angle.

There was no quit in the away side and a Max McLaughlin strike on 66 gave them hope.

However, Telor Williams netted twice in three minutes to clinch the spoils for Port.

Prestatyn Town 1 (Magee 18)
Ruthin Town 2 (Owen 63, Morris 66)

Tyler Magee’s 18th minute goal handed Prestatyn an interval lead, but a pair of Ruthin strikes in close proximity in the second period turned the tables.

Gwion Owen made it one-each on 63 minutes with a 25-yard bullet into the top corner, then after 66 Llyr Morris, as he so often does, pounced with the winner, latching on to a Soulayman El Amri through ball before finishing well first-time.

Kurtis Pearson hit the woodwork for Prestatyn in the dying stages and the rebound was headed over the bar.

ARDAL NORTH WEST REPORTS – AUGUST 8

Bethesda Athletic 1 (K Roberts 32)
Holyhead Hotspur 2 (J Walsh 27, Lewis 56)

Two wins out of two for Holyhead thanks to Harry Lewis’ 56th minute decider at Parc Meurig.

Hotspur took an early lead when Kyle Murphy swung over a cross, skipper Alex Jones headed against the bar and Jack Walsh put away the rebound.

Bethesda levelled through Kane Roberts on 32 minutes and it remained 1-1 up to the break.

Lewis’ strike from the edge of the box restored the away lead and 2-1 is how it stayed.

Nantlle Vale 4 (A Owen 22, 63, J Jones 52, S Williams 74)
Pwllheli 2 (Toplis 39, C Jones 66)

Vale repeated their 4-2 victory from the weekend by defeating Pwllheli by the same score at Maes Dulyn.

Ashley Owen struck first for the hosts on 22 minutes, but a Steffan Toplis equaliser after 39 made it all-square at half time.

Owen provided the assist for Jamie Jones to edge Nantlle ahead on 52. Owen then bagged his second of the evening on 63 before Carl Jones pulled one back for Pwll three minutes later.

Sion Williams secured a home success when he made it 4-2 on 76 minutes.

CPD Llannefydd 0

The top two teams in the tier 4 North Wales Coast East Premier last season are still awaiting a first win in the Ardal North West after both shared a goalless draw tonight.

Saints had Mathew Beach sent off for a second yellow card four minutes from time.

Llay Welfare 3 (J Taylor 10, Nevitt 22, Peate 79)
Brickfield Rangers 0

Great result for Mike Gadie’s Llay side in tonight’s all-Wrexham area derby at The Ring.

Jared Taylor gave the Welfare a 10th minute lead before Will Nevitt doubled the advantage on 22.
Brickfield fluffed a chance to pull one back after 26 when Isaac Dawson missed a penalty.

Defender and captain Max Peate made certain of a home win when he netted number three on 79 minutes.

Llangefni Town 2 (Littlemore 32, O Jones 78)
Conwy Borough 0

Cefni made it back-to-back league wins to start the season as they saw off Conwy at Cae Bob Parry.

John Littlemore made it 1-0 in the 32nd minute when he nutmegged keeper Bradley Farrar before finding the net.

And another new signing, Osian Jones, added a second with 78 on the clock, scoring with a cracking shot from distance.
