Next round of Welsh Cup features some real David versus Goliath ties!

Llysfaen and CPD Gronant will be determined to pull off a pair of giant-killing in the next round of the Welsh Cup

Some fascinating ties came out of the red bag in the FAW Welsh Cup second qualifying round draw tonight.

One of the most romantic pairings is St Asaph City of tier 3 against tier 5 underdogs CPD Y Glannau. Both teams are St Asaph based, so the away fans will not have too far to travel.

In the north west, Llysfaen have landed a plum tie at home to Holyhead Hotspur, who spent several seasons in tier 2 Cymru North before their relegation to Ardal North West this term.

Hotspur are past quarter-finalists in the national knockout.

Holyhead Town of tier 5 will enjoy home advantage against Llandudno Junction, an excellent tier 4 outfit who will want to avoid any slip-up at Millbank.

And newcomers CPD Boded have a visit to the Conwy Valley to take on tier 3 side Llanrwst United to look forward to.

Ties will take place on the weekend of August 19.
