Debutant Mason Blackwell-Jones will not forget his first competitive game for Denbigh in a hurry – he scored a stunning winner in a close-fought cup tie at Chirk
A fierce strike just before the break from former Llandudno midfielder Blackwell-Jones was enough to give Denbigh the win.
The away side had dominated the opening hour but Chirk bounced back and had chances to level in the closing stages, Town keeper Aaron Jones forced into some good stops.
But it is Denbigh who go into the second round draw and the Colliers will regroup in readiness for their opening Cymru North league game at home against Buckley Town next Friday at Holyhead Road.
