Andrew Swarbrick claimed a five-wicket haul as fourth-place Chirk stretched their unbeaten run to six matches – five wins – with a well-earned success at Orleton Park.
Put into bat, hosts Wellington seconds were bowled out for 158 in 37.5 overs, Stuart Taylor’s 47 not out their best knock.
All-rounder Swarbrick removed all the top five, finishing with 5-27 off nine overs, while Nick Flack provided good support with 3-19 off six.
Liam Walker also picked up a wicket, while skipper James Carter exacted a run out,
In reply, Chirk faced a revised target of 145 off 38 overs due to rain interruptions.
They got there in just 28.4, opener Oliver Gough the mainstay with 37, having put on 62 for the first wicket with Liam Walker (25).
Swarbrick added 23 to help Chitk over the finish line with plenty to spare.
Next up for Chirk is a home match against next-to-bottom Cound 1st XI next Saturday.
Chirk seconds also return to action on the same day with a trip to Cae Glas 2nd XI in Division Eight.
