Great women’s cricket battles in store on Sunday

Colwyn Bay were the Welsh Hundred champions last season

There’s a great day in store for the North Wales Women’s Cricket League this Sunday with the champions of the past two seasons scheduled to face each other.

Bethesda, outright title takers in 2021 and joint champions last year and Colwyn Bay, co-league victors in 2022 and Women’s Hundred Ball Welsh Cup winners, will clash at The Oval, Llandudno.

Also involved in the three-match showpiece will be hosts Llandudno Fire.

Kaye Jones (16), Jane Williams (11) and Rhiannon Jones (11 – once out, net score 6) helped Northop set a winning total of 116-2 (net 306).

Gwersyllt Park were limited to 95-6 in reply, meaning Northop took the win by 41 runs.

Alyson Oates picked up 3-21 for the winning side, Grace Fenney-Williams, Ann Roberts and Kaye Jones claiming a wicket apiece.
