Rhyl-based NFA promoted to the national Genero Adran North League for 2023-24
Rhyl-based NFA have been promoted to the tier 2 Genero Adran North League for the 2023-24 season.
The club finished fourth in the North Wales Women’s League last term and failed to complete their fixtures, but the FAW still decided to award them a tier 2 licence.
With just seven teams competing in the Genero Adran North last season, the league was keen to make it an even eight this term and it may well be on this basis that the FAW made this decision.
Formed in 2019-20, NFA have played in the North Wales League for three seasons and finished runners-up in 2021-22. They were beaten finalists in the NWCFA Challenge Cup in that same season.
Joining NFA at the higher level will be North Wales Women’s League 2022-23 champions CPD Merched Bangor – Bangor Women’s FC.
Wrexham have been promoted to the top-flight Genero Adran Premier after winning the Adran North title last season.
The composition of the Genero Adran Leagues for the 2023/24 season has been confirmed.
