Ten finals, nine different clubs crowned winners – NEWFA hail annual football festival a big success

NEWFA general secretary Dave Fawkes has hailed the association’s latest cup finals weekend a tremendous success.
Ten finals ranging from under-12 to seniors were played across three days at the Memorial Playing Fields, the home of Ruthin Town.
Mr Fawkes said: “Our finals weekend at Ruthin was a massive success seeing over 3,000 spectators attend over the three days.
“A special thanks to everyone involved and especially to our excellent hosts Ruthin Town.”
One of the most pleasing aspects of the weekend was the fact NINE different clubs won a final as opposed to one or two teams dominating – good for the game.
Seventeen different clubs were represented over the 10 finals – another great outcome.
