Strengths to your play

I feel I’m a good team player. I’m not selfish and will pick a good pass when I see one! I also like to think I bring positivity to the club and that this is reflected on and off the pitch.

Weaknesses in your play

Confidence; self-doubt has always been my worst enemy in football!

Why did you decide to join Flint Town United in March?

I wasn’t getting much game time at Nomads and I was ready for a new challenge. I knew Flint were looking to strengthen their squad so I thought the move would allow me to both see and prove what I’m capable of. I’ve thoroughly enjoyed my time at the club so far and I don’t regret my decision one bit.

How much did your time at a great club like Connah’s Quay Nomads help your football development?

The standards at Nomads were very high and I got to experience football in a high intensity environment. The coaching staff were also very supportive and their training sessions definitely helped me with improving my technical ability.

How do you feel Flint Town United’s debut season in the North Wales Women’s League is going so far?

It’s always going to be a challenge being a new club, but I think with the tools the girls have been given they’ve done a brilliant job and we can only improve from here. This is just the beginning.

Personal highlight of this season so far

Scoring my first goal for Flint! Hopefully it is the first of many.

Which team-mate (Flint) has impressed you most?

It’s hard to pick! I’ve only played 3 games but I’ve got say Rosie Hughes. Her work-rate is amazing, I’ve never seen a player run so much!

What do you think of the overall standard of the North Wales League?

There is of course a difference in comparison to the Genero Adran North, but from what I’ve seen the quality is still great. We’ve played some strong sides and most importantly everyone in the league plays for the right reasons – they just love the game.

What are your hopes for the remainder of the season?

I’m hoping that for the rest of this season we can really just gel and bond as a team as we are all still getting to know eachother! Identifying each others strengths & weaknesses and styles of play will no doubt help set ourselves up for success next season.

How would you like to see Flint progress in the future?

I’m really excited for next season. The club has already brought in some strong players recently and we have a fair few coming in after the summer. We’re all very excited to see what they can bring to the squad, and I’m hopeful that we will climb up the table next year, giving some of the more established teams something to think about!
