Five goals in the final 20 minutes earned Queen’s Park the victory which put them top of the Premier Division tonight.
Dave Evans’ side trailed 3-2 at half time to the ever-spirited bottom side Brymbo, but the Park’s staying power eventually won the day.
Richard Jones nudged the home side in front on 17 minutes, but Jake Young and Ellis Trubshaw responded quickly to give the Steelmen a 2-1 lead after 24.
Young struck again for 3-1 and the Park were glad of a Mike Latham penalty to see them just a goal down at the interval.
It remained 3-2 to the visitors until the 69th minute and a shock was on the cards until Callum Roberts equalised and scored again on 74, Liam Davies adding another in between to make it 5-3. Three goals in five minutes.
The Park were finally in control and Davies and Latham added further goals before the end.
The Llŷn Peninsula derby was settled by a 21st minute goal from Pwllheli’s Jamie Banks.
The win edged Pwll up to second, 10 points behind leaders Bethesda Athletic with a game in hand.
Man of the match for the visitors was Daniel Roberts. Pwllheli are next in action away to Menai Bridge Tigers on Friday night.
Saints moved nine points clear at the summit with an emphatic triumph at The Muga.
Callum Mannion handed Albion a 31st minute lead, but Tomas Jones levelled before the break.
Sub Ieuan Jones-Wellstead added goals on 68 and 75 minutes before Cian McIntosh made it 4-1 near the end.
Cup success in this Vale of Clwyd derby for North West league champions Ruthin.
Iorwerth Jones and Robbie Williams both netted in the first half to put the visitors two-up before Kristian Pierce replied from the penalty spot three minutes into added time.
Williams added two second-half goals to complete his hat-trick.
