Move to Nomads working well for Molly

New signing Molly Brown reports she is settling in nicely at her new club Connah’s Quay Nomads.
Molly, 18, joined the Deesiders last month and has featured in three under-19 matches so far, scoring in an 11-0 win over CPD Merched Tref Caernarfon.
She began the 2022-23 season in the North Wales Women’s League with NFA, where she also represented the under-19’s and U16’s, having earlier played for Rhyl FC in various age groups.
Talented and versatile, Molly can play in a number of positions, such as central defensive midfield, left-back or sometimes centre-back.
If playing at the back, she can storm forward and end up in the opposition box, taking a shot or providing an assist. She was so unlucky not to score twice against Rhyl 1879 in the Welsh Cup for NFA this season.
Now she is part of the ever-progressing Nomads women’s set-up, whose under-19s finished third in their division this season, while the firsts were runners-up in the Genero Adran North and have reached the NEWFA Challenge Cup final.
Molly said: “I’m enjoying my time with Nomads so far. It was really pleasing to score in my second game for the under-19’s.”
The teenager was already familiar with a number of the Nomads squad having played alongside the likes of Elana Harley and Emily Bentley previously.
Molly was named in the Grassroots North Wales Festive Fifty star players for 2022 and looks to have a bright future ahead of her.
