North Wales Coast West Premier Division – Bethesda fly 13 points clear, great results for Nefyn and Glantraeth

Bethesda Athletic 3 CPD Penrhyndeudraeth 0

The weekend could not have gone better for Bethesda as they went 13 points clear with a win over Penrhyndeudraeth, while their two nearest title challengers both lost at home.

Two-goal hero Benn Lundstram and Kyle Hartleb, who scored once and provided two assists, were magnificent for Mark N Hughes’ side at Parc Meurig.

All the goals came inside the first 35 minutes of a dynamic first-half performance from the hosts.

In the 10th minute, Hartleb sent a great cross from the left into the box, where Noa Hughes controlled superbly and despite being clattered was able to offload to Lundstram, who lashed a cracking shot into the roof of the net.

On 28 minutes it was 2-0. Hartleb displayed fine skill in bringing down a high ball and slipping a neat pass inside for Lundstram who won a close race with Penrhyn keeper Iwan Davies to lob into the goal under pressure for his 15th of the season.

The third goal saw Noa Hughes break down the right and pass inside to Hartleb, who adjusted his footing brilliantly to fire in with his left foot.

Those goals were more than enough to secure the victory for Pesda, who are now six unbeaten in the league having lost just once in their last 21 Premier Division games.

Next up is a home tussle with tricky Gwalchmai this Saturday.

FIVE away wins on the bounce now for Llanrug with Anglesey side Amlwch their latest victims.

Jonathan Sadler (2, 1 pen) and Morgan Williams made it 15 points out of a possible 15 on the road for United, all the goals coming in the first half.

Chris Byast replied for Amlwch on 52, who had manager Rob Williams-Jones red-carded after 70 minutes.

CPD Llanberis 1 CPD Nefyn United 2

Goals either side of half time from Tomi Evans and Elgan Jones earned a tremendous victory for the Penwaig away to second-place Llanberis.

Adam Jones had edged the Darans in front on seven minutes, but it was a lead they could not hold.

CPD Mynydd Llandegai 5 CPD Llannerchymedd 0

Osian Jones (2), recent signing Iestyn Marlow, Kane Roberts and Steven Tindall shared the goals as Llandegai romped to an emphatic win over Llannerchymedd.

CPD Pwllheli 1 Glantraeth 3

Another outstanding result for Glantraeth as they made it five wins in their last six league outings at the expense of high-flyers Pwllheli.

Darren Lewthwaite, Arwel Williams and early substitute Dylan Williams were on target for the away side, Carl Jones having put the hosts in front on the half-hour with his 16th goal of the campaign.

Tirion Roberts’ 40th minute goal was enough to separate the sides at Gloddfa Glai.
