By the end of Friday’s matches the 2022-23 JD Cymru North title could be won.
Three points for leaders Colwyn Bay at struggling Penrhyncoch will put the Seagulls in an virtually unassailable position at the summit.
Bay are three points ahead of second-place Holywell Town with two matches apiece left.
Even if Holywell win their last two and Colwyn just the one, Steve Evans’ side possess such a superior goal difference (+27) they have one hand firmly on the trophy already.
Friday sees Bay visit relegation-threatened Penrhyncoch, whom they beat 3-0 last Saturday at the Four Crosses Construction Arena.
Holywell will aim for a league record 26th straight Cymru North win when they welcome third-place Llandudno for their final home match of the season.
Although second-favourites for the title, Johnny Haseldin’s men have been on a phenomenal run and would take great satisfaction in beating Bay’s 25-0 record compiled this season.
Llandudno will be tricky opponents for the Wellmen, especially with a 10-game unbeaten streak themselves in the league.
With Holywell having not applied for promotion to the JD Cymru Premier, only Colwyn Bay are in a position to go up.
