DIVISION ONE MATCH REPORTS – WEDNESDAY, MARCH 29
ARFON LADIES took a big step towards adding the Winter League title to their summer one as they moved 12 points clear at the summit with a narrow 29-27 win over PRIMOS.
Primos led 17-13 at halfway and were one goal ahead entering the last, but Arfon produced a big last quarter, winning it 8-5 to take the match.
After losing to Arfon the previous week, TIM O WALIS fell further behind in the title battle when they were thrashed 48-20 by MENAI MAVERICKS.
Eight goals up at midway, the Anglesey side really turned on the power in the last two quarters, winning them 15-2 and 11-4.
WALIS BRYNCOCH were always in control against CELTS BACH, establishing a big 14-4 half time lead before ending up 30-12 victors.
And DOLGELLAU produced a big second half to end up 33-23 ahead of DYFFRYN LADIES. Dolgellau led just 17-14 after the first two quarters.
DIVISION TWO MATCH REPORTS – TUESDAY, MARCH 28
LLANGEFNI remain in command at the summit after a 34-12 success over CYMRIC.
Quarter three was a particularly big one for Cefni, winning it 12-2.
HOLYHEAD overcame the challenge of WARIARS WALIS 30-20, but it was close in the opening two quarters, the Holy Islanders just 13-10 ahead at half time.
Again, the third quarter was crucial in this one, Caergybi taking it 10-4 to establish a winning position.
Milli Roberts was a stand out player as PWLLHELI WILDCATS outscored GENETHOD NANTLLE 32-10.
The Llyn side edged the first just 6-4, but dominated the rest of the match.
WALIS MIDFFILD comfortably saw off PORTHMADOG 38-25.
Midffild won the opener 10-3, but Port hit back in the second, taking it 10-8 to cut the deficit to five at half time.
However, the Walis were on top in the third and fourth.
