Royal Oak 2
FC Mally 5

It is two finals out of three now for FC Mally who will aim to make it a complete set next weekend when they take on Rhyl Rangers in the Premier Cup semis.
Sunday saw the Junction side overcome Royal Oak 5-2 at the Reso, Rhyl, in the last four of the Lee Jones Cup.
Mally had previously whipped Rhyl side the Oak 8-2 in the NWCFA Challenge Cup semis.
The Junction men got off to a bright start when Benn Lundstram pounced on a keeper’s mistake within 18 seconds of the opening whistle.

Shortly after Scott McGoona doubled the lead with a bullet header.
With the game becoming evenly contested the hosts pulled one back with a header in the six-yard box from Dardem Hoxha.
Mally went into the break hoping to regain control in the second half, but the hosts struck 10 minutes after the interval, Colin Sargerson making the visitors pay for some sloppy defending yet again to make it 2-2.
With the momentum swinging in Oak’s favour, Mally were up against it, however an Adam Hold solo run and a tidy finish into the bottom corner from a tight angle made it 3-2 to the Junction men.
Mally went on to strengthen the lead with another Benn Lundstram goal and Paddy Hamid’s finish sealed the victory.
A proper battling performance today. At times it was not pretty, but as they so often do, Mally grinded it out and found a way to win.
