Meliden took a two-goal lead, were pegged back to 2-2, but then had the staying power to go on and claim maximum points at Swan Road.

The visitors started the better, opening the scoring in the fifth minute with Jon Terry reacting to a second ball first and firing home from 12 yards out.

As the first half played out, Mochdre dominated large periods, but could not respond to level the scores before the break.

The second half started the same way as the first, with the travellers on top and extending their lead early through Dylan Ford on 50 minutes.

Mochdre committed more men forward and were awarded a penalty in the 52nd minute after Anuar Seilkhanov was brought down.

Jordan Phillips was unable to capitalise with Morgan Parker saving well low down to his left.

Phillips redeemed himself seven minutes later. After some good work down the right, Scott Brown crossed to the back post for Phillips to head in and halve the deficit.

With the pressure piling on the visitors, it became two-apiece when Seilkhanov fired home in the 61st minute.

Meliden now upped their game and edged back in front on 73 minutes when captain Finlay Ellam headed home a free kick on the right.

With Mochdre throwing men forward, the visitors sealed their victory with two minutes to go, Liam Astley scoring from a well-worked counter attack.

Glan Conwy 2 Bro Cernyw 3

Two sides battling in the lower reaches of the Premier played out a good contest at Cae Ffwt.

Tyler Trow put bottom team Glan Conwy ahead on eight minutes, but a John Gardner penalty after 20 ensured it was 1-1 at half time.

In difficult conditions, Glan took the lead again on the hour through Mackenzie Williams, but Carwyn McFadden levelled on 66 and Gardner bagged the winner after 83.

Penmaenmawr Phoenix 5 Kinmel Bay 1

Alfie Caldecott was a hat-trick hero for a Phoenix side which came out on top in a fiercely contested clash played in awful conditions.

Man of the match Ricky Jones and Billy Sieben added further home goals, Connor Morris on target for the visitors, who were level at 1-1 come the interval.

DIVISION ONE

CPD Y Glannau 5 Penrhyn Bay 0

Harrison Bellis netted four times for Y Glannau to boost his goals total for the season to a stunning 49 from just 22 matches.

Bellis is also leading scorer in Division One with 32 league goals, eight ahead of Llandudno Amateurs’ Azz Rogers.

Saturday’s game at Glan Clwyd Sports Centre saw Glannau not really click in attack until the 30th minute when Chris Bower fed a lovely ball into the box for Bellis to finish.

Once that first goal went in the hosts started to knock the ball around with more confidence and it did not take long for them to double their score after a neat pass from Tomos Williams put Bellis clear to finish well for his second.

Half-time: 2-0

Y Glannau started the second half so well, netting three times in the first nine minutes.

Goal number three saw Ged Burke release Bellis to find the bottom-left corner for his hat-trick.

Bower’s 35 yarder needed tipping over by Penrhyn Bay keeper Bernardas Subkovas and soon after the defender drilled the ball into the danger area where Alec Williams was alert and back-heeled into the net.

Straight from the kick off, the hosts won the ball back and once again Burke put Bellis through to score his fourth.

Glannau keeper Brad Wright did not have a lot to do, but proved he is always on the ball by making a stunning save.

Substitute Richard Peskett hit a post before the end as Y Glannau finished on a high.

NFA 3 CPD Henllan 0

A good footballing performance saw NFA dominate the majority of the game.

The hosts were guilty of some missed opportunities in front of goal, but nonetheless took maximum points.

Matthew Robinson, Owen Jones and Steve Falvey were all on the mark.

Rhyl Dragons 4 Rhyl All Stars 3

Colin Sargerson breathed fire for the Dragons with a decisive hat-trick in a seven-goal derby thriller.

Sargerson struck on 47, 51 and 76 minutes for the hosts, with no name provided for the other scorer.

Samuel Lloyd (2) and Lewis Evans replied for Robert Cunnah’s side, who fought back from 3-1 down to be level only to lose out to Sargerson’s third goal.
