And today it was announced the former Greenfield, Rhydymwyn, Flint Town United, Halkyn United and Caerwys player has been named JD Cymru Leagues Manager of the Month for the north.

Johnny rejoined Holywell as a player in 2010 and became manager in 2011-12 when former boss Mike Thomas stepped down after winning the FAW Trophy.

Apart from a brief spell at the end of 2017-18, when he resigned only to return as manager early the following season, Johnny has spent the last 13 years unbroken at Halkyn Road.

During January, Town produced a perfect record of played 4, won 4.
