CPD Aberffraw 2-1 CPD Pentraeth

Tom Hughes plundered a 96th minute winner for Aberffraw after the home side had also conceded an own goal equaliser in added time.

Alan Williams had given Berffro a 21st minute lead at Cae Cynlas, Adam Hallybone with the assist.

The hosts were holding on for the three points before in the second minute of injury time in the second half, Ceilan Williams put through his own goal to make it 1-1.

That was not the end of the drama as in the sixth minute over the 90, Gary Bolton set up Hughes for the decider.

Gwalchmai 3-3 CPD Nefyn United

Nefyn defender Llyr Pennant Williams (No 5 – blue) aims to stop Gwalchmai’s Connor Owen (10) from scoring while the Penwaig’s stand-in keeper Alan Jones is on alert to help the situation. Picture: DAI SINCLAIR

All-square at Maes Meurig, where Marc Evans began his third stint as a Gwalchmai player by scoring twice.

Evans, who amassed 68 goals last season for Bodedern’s tier 4 title-winning side, put Gwalch in front on six minutes before Gethin Jones added a second after 16 with a 30-yard cracker.

Chris Bennett rattled the post for the islanders, but when Evans, known popularly as Logs, made it 3-0 on 50 minutes after great work from Tom Kelly, it looked all over. But ‘wood’ you believe it? Nefyn battled back to earn a point.

Mark Jones cut the deficit on 57 minutes, Mark Dunn bagged a second for the Penwaig after 69 and Tomi Evans levelled it on 87.

A memorable fightback from Nefyn, whose 47-year-old joint manager Alan Jones deputised in goal and did a solid job.

CPD Llannerchymedd 2-6 Llanrug United

Veteran striker Kevin Lloyd claimed a hat-trick as Llanrug delivered six of the best and hauled themselves out of the bottom two.

Dion Roberts opened the scoring on eight minutes for the visitors before Lloyd made it two after 11.

Ben Hughes hit back with a 37th minute penalty for Llannerchymedd, but Jonathan Sadler put away a third for Llanrug after 43.

Lloyd scored again for United deep into first half injury time to make it 4-1 at the break.

Osian Williams notched a fifth for the travellers seven minutes into the second half, then Lloyd completed his treble on 57.

Mark Jones hit a late consolation for Medd, who now drop into the bottom two.

Menai Bridge Tigers 7-2 CPD Penrhyndeudraeth

Callum Davidson and Callum Thomas scored two apiece for the Tigers in an impressive home triumph.

Tigers led 5-2 at half time, Penrhyn having been reduced to 10 after a second yellow card for Iwan Davies.

Cemaes Bay 1-1 Bontnewydd

Leaders Cemaes were held 1-1 in a tough battle at School Lane last Friday.

Tom Wood nudged the hosts in front on 18 minutes, but Meilir Rowlands equalised after 38.

No further goals in the second half and Bay had Luke McKittrick red carded after the final whistle.

CPD Cefni 3-3 CPD Gaerwen

A great point for bottom side Gaerwen, who avoided defeat for only the second time in 13 matches this season.

Nathan Moore scored twice for the visitors in the first half, Luke Miles replying for the hosts.

The unstoppable goal machine that is Jamielee Patterson hit Cefni’s second on 47 minutes.

Gaerwen have a goal-scoring master of their own in Alan Mark Owen, popularly known as Blacks, and he put his team 3-2 up on 80 minutes.

However, Cefni had the last word when Patterson delivered his 15th goal of the season in the 82nd minute.

CPD Mountain Rangers 4-2 Holyhead Town

Jan Muller netted two late goals to seal Mountain Rangers a welcome win at home to the Harbourmen.

Muller, 34, who hails from the Czech Republic, was the match-winning hero after the game looked to be heading for a draw.

Daniel Evans gave Rangers a 23rd minute lead before Dylan Owen doubled the advantage with a penalty deep into first half added time.

Holyhead were not finished, though, Andy Will pulling one back on 77 before Jayden Owen squared the match after 80.

It was here that Muller took over, killing off a game in a style synonymous with his illustrious German namesake Gerd.
