Who is the leading goalscorer this season across the whole of North Wales senior football?

Who is the leading goalscorer in North Wales senior football this season, across all tiers of the pyramid, covering league and cup matches?
By our reckoning, top of the tree at present is Bangor 1876 hitman Corrig McGonigle, who is on 34 goals for the season, 18 in the Ardal North West League and 16 in cups.
In second spot is CPD Y Glannau’s 20-year-old striker Harrison Bellis, who has netted 30 in total, 15 in both league and cup competitions.
And looking strong in third is Ruabon Rovers hotshot Conner Kendrick, who has found the net 27 times for the tier 5 team.
Using information on the Cymru Football App and checking off our own records, these are the current top 7 goal-grabbers in North Wales.
Six of the seven play in tier 5, while the leader is a tier 3 player – that’s what makes Corrig stand out even more.
1 Corrig McGonigle (Bangor 1876) 34 GOALS
League: 18; Cups: 16; Appearances: 15; Average Goals Per Game: 2.27

This man is just phenomenal.
At the age of just 25, he was already netted well in excess of 350 senior career goals.
In 2021-22, his first season with 1876, he hit 34 goals in 14 matches, and he has achieved almost an identical feat up to now this term – at a higher level.
He has six hat-tricks already under his belt in 2022-23, including two fours (the App has him down as scoring 2 versus Bow Street in the Welsh Cup, but it was 3)
2 Harrison Bellis (CPD Y Glannau) 30 GOALS
League: 15; Cups: 15; Appearances: 14; Average Goals Per Game: 2.14

Joined North Wales Coast East Division One team Y Glannau in October 2021 from Rhyl All Stars and scored 14 goals for the St Asaph side last season.
This campaign he is on fire, with 30 goals in 14 games, and five hat-tricks which include two five-goal hauls.
3 Conner Kendrick (Ruabon Rovers) 27 GOALS
League: 14; Cups: 13; Appearances: 13; Average Goals Per Game: 2.08

Five hat-tricks to his credit already this season, including a six-goal haul.
Big signing for tier 5 Ruabon this term.
The prolific 27-year-old striker has a wealth of higher league experience, starting his career at Wrexham, Chester, Penycae and later winning trophies with Cefn Albion and Mold Alexandra.
4 Asa Thomas (Trearddur Bay) 24 GOALS
League: 15; Cups: 9; Appearances: 15; Average Goals Per Game: 1.6

No surprise to see this man here.
Returned to Trearddur Bay this season, where he amassed 112 goals in 2010-11, having been at Bodedern Athletic last term, netting 58 times in a tier 4 title-winning side.
Off to a flyer with Bay, having passed the 600 career goals mark recently.
5 Andrew Swarbrick (Ruabon Rovers) 22 GOALS
League: 2; Cups: 20; Appearances: 13; Average Goals Per Game: 1.69

Remarkably, 20 of his 22 goals have come in cup matches, including seven last weekend at Johnstown.
Proven marksman at a level way above tier 5 having also starred for the likes of Cefn Druids and Denbigh Town in the past.
6 Sam Giles (Acton) 21 GOALS
League: 18; Cups 3; Appearances: 9; Average Goals Per Game: 2.33

With 18 league goals in just 5 games, including a seven, a five and a four, Sam is absolutely motoring in the tier 5 North East Wales League Championship.
Former clubs include Llangollen Town and Brickfield Rangers.
7 Kallum Pierce (Aston Park Rangers) 20 GOALS
League: 17; Cups: 3; Appearances: 11; Average Goals Per Game: 1.82

Kallum is also in sparkling form in the North East Wales League Championship, having bagged 17 goals in nine matches.
In August, he plundered three hat-tricks, including a five.
