Tie of the round in the next stage of the FAW Women’s Welsh Cup is undoubtedly the all-town derby between CPD Y Rhyl 1879 and NFA.

1879 were crowned North Wales League champions in their debut season and beat NFA three times in the campaign, twice in the league 1-0 and 3-0, and also 5-1 in the Welsh Cup.

Rhyl are now in the tier 2 Adran North League – a level higher than NFA, who were North Wales League runners-up in 2021-22.

NFA have made a strong start to this season and look a good bet to push for the North Wales title this term, so will be out for revenge when they face their resort rivals.

Amlwch Town’s reward for Friday’s 4-1 win at Llangefni Town is a home tie against Adran North champions Llandudno.

Pwllheli, who won 3-1 at Northop Hall in round one, have a big test at Cymru Premier outfit Aberystwyth Town. Pwll midfielder Katie Louise Bowe once scored a famous Welsh Cup winner as a Llandudno player at Park Avenue in 2016-17.
