Seven games unbeaten and top of Division One – Cemaes Bay maintained their strong start to the season with an emphatic win over Llangoed tonight.
All four goals at School Lane came in the first half.
Credit to visitors Llangoed for not folding after the break and putting in a fine effort to keep a clean sheet.
Cemaes took the lead on 18 minutes when some fantastic link play involving Matt Reynolds and Matty Roberts saw Tom Wood set up Cian Owen for the opener.
Two minutes later the same combination made it 2-0, Owen completing a quick brace.
An unfortunate own goal from Charlie McKenna put the away side three behind just after the half-hour.
And three minutes prior to the interval, Luke McKittrick added goal number four with a magnificent 25-yard strike.
McKittrick was a stand-out performer for the hosts, as was Liam Dhillon.
Cemaes made five substitutions in the second half but added no further goals.
