Champions Colwyn Bay will target longer stay in the Premier next season

1ST XI FIRST DIVISION

Now they have reached the Premier League for a third time in five years Colwyn Bay will be determined to stay there.
Crowned Liverpool Competition First Division champions on Saturday, the Bay will aim to avoid a third successive relegation from the top flight in 2027.
It has been a yo-yo five seasons for the Penrhyn Avenue club, but they proved once again this summer they are a class act in the First Division.
Taking on New Brighton in their penultimate game of the 2026 campaign, Bay were put into bat and dipped to 15-2 before Will Higginson and skipper George Johansen put on 131 for the third wicket.
Johansen departed for 60 before Luke Russell (47) added another 72 with Higginson, the home total finishing on 240-4 declared off 48.4 overs.
Higginson was the star performer, finishing 103 not out – 13 fours and a six.
New Brighton were then bowled out for 157, Amir Ali 96, Tom Clarke taking 5-40, Jack Parry 3-43 and Charlie Collins 2-22.
Bay won by 83 runs and 25-4 on points to clinch a second First Division title in three years.

A modest declaration from Prestatyn captain Adam Tidswell turned into a winning move as the visitors triumphed by just two runs at Fleetwood.
Invited to bat, the North Wales side posted 123-8 declared off 60 overs, openers Ryan Westwell (39) and Andy Taylor (33) putting on 73.
In reply, Fleetwood were 60-7 at one stage but recovered to 121-9 before losing their last wicket.
Kieran New was the shining light for Prestatyn with a season’s best 7-62 off 26.3 overs, Adam Tidswell claiming 2-27.off 18.
New is up to 64 league wickets for the season while Prestatyn sit fifth in the Second Division.

2ND XI PREMIER DIVISION

Formby (7) 145-7 Colwyn Bay (9) 207-8 dec – DRAWN

Bay set 207-8 declared after being inserted by the opposition, skipper Tom Roberts 54 and Jaiveer Tomar 50, then Formby held on for the draw at 145-7, Jamie Moorhouse 4-47.

2ND XI SECOND DIVISION

Northop Hall (25) 79-1 Sutton (St Helens) (1) 76-10

Runaway champions Northop Hall seconds eased to a nine-wicket hime win over Sutton St Helsns at Smithy Lane.
Liam Evans-Ford picked up 5-41, Oliver Jenkins 2-5 and Matthew Edwards 2-8 as Hall removed their visitors, who opted to bat, for just 76.
The hosts breezed to 79-1 in 16.3 overs, Thomas Doggett top-scoring with 33 not out, to secure a 25-1 points success.

Prestatyn (5) 108-10 Prescot & Odyssey (25) 109-6

Opener Darren Hughes made an impressive 55 as Prestatyn were bowled out for just 108 at Beach Close before Prescot responded with a winning 109-6, Peter Tidswell 2-14 and Hughes 2-24.
