PREMIER DIVISION

Brymbo 1 Penyffordd Lions 8

Ben Hughes and Owen Davies both notched hat-tricks as Penyffordd inflicted a heavy defeat on their hosts.

Samuel Evans and Thomas Potts added a single each for the Lions, while Kyle Evans grabbed Brymbo’s consolation.

CHAMPIONSHIP

CPD Gronant 2 CPD Sychdyn 1

Thomas Fleming bagged an 89th minute decider for a Gronant outfit which fought back from a goal down to win.

Shea Harding gave the visitors a 15th minute lead, but Daniel Price levelled on 43 before Fleming delivered that late magic.

Overton Recreational 3 CPD Bellevue 1

Bobby Gregory’s sixth-minute penalty put the visitors in front, but Overton turned the tables to take three points courtesy of an Alex Williams double and late James Roberts clincher.

Saltney Ferry 1 Acton 0

Joe Houghton’s 84th minute net-finder secured all three points for home side Ferry.

RESERVES DIVISION

Acton 2 Llay Welfare Colts 3

Matthew Grundy struck a 90th minute winner for Llay, whose other hitmen were James Towey and Joshua Venables.

A double from Leonardo Mendes, one a penalty, ensured Acton pushed their opponents close.

Castell Alun Colts 1 Lex XI 2

David Beeching and George Baxter bagged the second-half goals which earned three hard-earned points for the Lawmen, Reece Jones the home marksman.

Coedpoeth United 1 Greenfield 1

Ieuan Hopwood put Coedy in front on 21 minutes, but Ryan Jones made it one-apiece soon after and that was how it stayed.

Penyffordd Lions 3 FC Queen’s Park 3

Lions led 2-0, the Park hit back to be 3-2 up, but a 70th minute equaliser from Aiden Tudor made sure honours finished even.

Calum Roberts and David Stewart were Penyffordd’s other names on the scoresheet, Sean Humphreys and Sean Price (2) replying for the visitors.

Ruthin Town Colts 3 Mynydd Isa Spartans 5

Harri Jones (2), Reece Jones (2) and Jay Wiles notched all their goals in the first half, giving Spartans a 5-0 lead at the interval.

Ruthin did fight back in the second half, but had left themselves with too much to do, Meilir Williams (2) and Sean Kell responding.
