All-rounder Arthur Jones was again in magnificent form as Colwyn Bay seconds kept their Premier Division title hopes alive with a comfortable win at the bottom side.
Jones scored 78 and took 4-39 in a superb display which boosted his league and cup runs total for the club in 2022 to 800 and wickets tally to 49.
Bay batted first on Saturday and posted 227-8 declared, opener Shaun Davies with a second best score of 57, while Sam Bright finished on 34 not out.
While Jones bowled magnificently with his four-wicket haul when Liverpool batted, there was an even better return from Tom Clarke, who blasted out the top four in very little time.
Clarke ended up with 5-58 off 14 as the hosts collapsed to 146 all out.
Bay took the spoils 25-7 and trail leaders Formby seconds by 33 points with three rounds of matches remaining.
While Hall seconds could only muster 76 runs at home to Rainford seconds, they still made their visitors work hard for victory.
The hosts decided to bat, but only Renit Adke (29) and Ben Arden (23) made any sort of impression.
Rainford made it to 77-6 in 17 overs to seal a four-wicket triumph.
