Dolgellau lead Division One of the Gwynedd and Anglesey Netball League sponsored by HOGAN

Huge thanks to Bangor-based HOGAN BROS LTD for their sponsorship of the Gwynedd and Anglesey Netball League.

The Summer League has two divisions running and currently Dolgellau lead the first with Bethesda top of the second.

Following last week’s Division Two matches, Bethesda v WaliB’s result has been overturned due to WaliB’s playing an ineligible player.

In line with league rules this result has been overturned to a 40-0 win for Bethesda and a 3-point deduction for WaliB’s.

Division One – August 3

Dolgellau 35 Penygroes Primos 24
(7-8; 16-14; 24-19; 35-24)

Dolgellau made it five straight league wins and continue to lead the Division One standings after a fine result against Primos.
The table-toppers lost the opener and were only two goals ahead at the break, but won the third 8-5 and then took the last convincingly 11-5.

Arfon Ladies 32 Dyffryn Ladies 13
(9-2; 17-5; 23-10; 32-13)

Arfon continue to look strong in second after winning each quarter against Dyffryn.
Well in command at 17-5 come half time, Dyffryn fought back bravely to lose the third just 6-5, but Arfon were back on top in the curtain-closer.

Menai Mavericks 28 Tim o Walis 18
(6-8; 14-9; 21-15; 28-18)

Trailing by two at the end of the opener, Mavericks turned the tables by winning the second 8-1 to be five in front at the midway stage.
Mavericks bettered their opponents just 7-6 in the third, but dominated the final act 7-3.

Division Two – August 2

Llangefni 31 WaliC’s 16
(8-3; 15-7; 26-10; 31-16)

Llangefni are a clear second in Division Two after outscoring WaliC’s.
Cefni controlled the first three quarters, winning them 8-3, 7-4 and 11-3, but WaliC’s had the consolation of edging the last 6-5.
