Glan Conwy 2 (T Jones 53, N/A)
Mochdre Sports 7 (Chris Lloyd 24, 40 & 61 pen, Grimshaw 57, Woodfield 67, Davies 73, Williams 82)

Seven goals away from home in a local derby on the first night of the season – Mochdre Sports will make shoddier starts than this!

Sports sailed into a 2-0 first half lead, Chris Lloyd scoring on 24 and 40 minutes, both from Owen Woodfield flick-ons.

Glan Conwy were much improved at the start of the second half, Trefor Jones pulling one back before another home goal made it 2-2.

This seemed to take Mochdre to another level, with Josh Grimshaw restoring the lead from a free kick and Chris Lloyd getting his hat-trick from the penalty spot.

Sports’ fifth on 67 minutes was a fantastic half volley into the top corner from man of the match Woodfield.

Captain Kai Davies then made it six with a long range effort which clipped the post on its way in.

The scoring was completed in the 82nd minute when Alex Williams tapped in from close range.
